I need some help getting a bearing/race out of a gearbox on my hay mower. I have a horizontal shaft with a ring gear on one end. The other end of the shaft goes through the gear box housing (where the bearing is) and the outside connects to a drive pulley. I have the pulley off, the outside seal and C-clip out. The bearing/race has to come out and not in. I have managed to drive the race about half way out but since I can't get a straight shot at it from inside the gearbox it has stopped. I can't get enough of a lick on it. There is no way to attach anything to the shaft to pull on it. The shaft is smooth. Picture a square box with a horizontal shaft entering one side. Where the shaft enters is where the bearing/race is.
