That Farmall A was only rated as a one plow tractor. So it is not surprising it would struggle with two. A two plow tractor would need 25-30HP to do the job. A Farmall H being heavier does the job. Being about 25 HP . A newer compact being lighter in some cases requires near 30 Hp to do the same job. Also I am talking about a 2 bottom, 14 or 16" shares. Is it pull type or mounted? Hope that helps.
