In Reply to: How to reinstall a starter on a 9N tractor posted by Andy Oliver on Friday, March 16, 2007:
Well, I recently installed a new starter on my Ford 640 and I imagine its quite similar. INstalling it is simple. Insert the engaging end of the gear into the flywheel opening. Then put your three bolts back onto the starter to secure it and attach the starter wire. You must be having a problem getting the gear into the flywheel? You have to wiggle it around a little until it fits. Good luck.
