I've have several of the cheaper chainsaws and they are basically disposable. The only decent chain saw I've owned is a Stihl Farm Boss 18 inch. Its worth fixing when it wears out. It costs about $350 which is about twice what you'll pay for a Sears or Homelite, but it will last much longer with less breakdowns. Goodluck.
