I perused over my library and came up with some book titles for you:
Five Acres and Independence: A Handbook for Small
Farm Management, by M.G. Kains (printed around WW II but still relevent)
The Backyard Homestead: Mini Farm and Garden Log Book (Plastic Comb)
by John Jeavons, J. Mogador Griffin, Robin Leler
and there is some good info at Mother Earth News's site in the form of on line articles.
