There are some good books out (but titles and authors escape my memory at the moment) and I'd check the local library. Some questions that might help in telling you what you might need are what size rocks are we talking about? fist sized? lunchbox sized? television sized? And what kind of soil do you have? Loose and sandy? some clay? a LOT of clay? And what kind of average rainfall per year in your neck of the woods? under 20" per year? 20-40" per year? over 40" per year?
