OK, this is really dumb, but I'm totally confused about what implements I need for my TC-30. I have two 1-acre pastures and one 5-acre pasture that I'd like to re-plant in rye and bermuda. The previous owner ran cattle in the 5-acre pasture, so the soil is pretty packed - there are a lot of (limestone) rocks also. What the heck do I use to prepare the soil for planting? I've been told "spike plow," "chisel plow," "disc plow" and "cultivator" - I have no idea what each of these things does - is there a book or something that just explains the basics of plowing? My owners manual isn't any help on this topic - I've asked some of the farmers and ranchers in my area, but they could be speaking Chinese as far as I can understand what they're telling me - is there such a thing as "Farming for Dummies?"
