is the gearshift stuck in second or is the tractor in second and the shifter moves around a lot, or in 2 gears at once? either way, unbolt the top cover of the trans, just get the 9/16 socket going and follow the line of bolts around the outside, leabe the nuts alone that are not on the edge, if the lever will not move, wiggle and move the cover around a little to get it moving, if it still will not work, lift the whole cover off, shift rails and forks all come with it, have a look at the ball on the end of the shifter and the blocks for really bad wear if it happens often, and clean up where the gasket was, lay down a little gasket maker and put it back on, make sure it works, and bolt it down
