I cleaned my carb today. It looked ok but I cleaned it anyway. Put it back to gether but didn't have new gaskets. Coated them with a thin coat of wheel bearing grease and screwed it down tight.
Put it back on, fired it up and it ran great. Took it and the 6' mower around the field. It cut the wet grass, johnson and bahaia and weeds and ran great.
Got it up to running temp. and it never skipped a beat. Ran great.
This may be the fix but only time will tell.
Good luck.
