Rick,
Had same problem with my 555DTC. I had to disconnect the 2 wires coming out of the transmission (right in front of gear shift). Follow them up to the first splice behind the dash. Then I jumped the 2 together. This bypasses all the Neutral and clutch safeties, but it was the only way I could get it started.
