My name is Doug Weigle and I live in the Pinelands of New Jersey.
I am looking for a little technical advice
I have an old Case 630 tractor. It has a gasoline gravity feed system. A few months ago, I noticed that there was gasoline in the engine lube oil, which I caught early and quickly changed out with new oil. But the problem I believe was with the Zenith carburetor.
Gasoline enters the carburetor, fills up the bowl, the float moves up and shuts off the gasoline flow. Well, this was not happening. So I purchased a carburetor rebuild kit and rebuilt my carburetor. With a new seat and needle valve in place, the float works as designed prior to starting the tractor. But once I crank over the engine, gasoline bleeds through the carburetor and drips out past the choke and into a bucket. I have adjusted the float about 15 times, but there is no change. The float does not have a hole in it. As of right now, as soon as I crank over the engine, I get a bleed thru of gasoline.
Ever heard of this problem? Carburetor cracked? Engine feedback? I just do not have a clue.
Thank you for your time.
