I have a craftsman model 917.272061. The tractor operates fine for a while but the transaxle starts to grind and stops working. (forward and reverse) I have purged transaxle per owners manual and has worked in the past but it did not work today.
I let tractor sit for awhile and the darn thing started working again.
Does anyone know if there is a repair for this problem. I don't want to spend $800 on a new transaxel.
The owners manual say you should only have to purge after "shipping" the tractor or replacing the transaxle
Thanks for any advise
