I had the same problem when I bought the used tractor. It would run great then started to stall drove me nuts for a year and half. I suspected the fuel control unit. Connected two led lights in the circuit one red & one green to tell me what was cutting out and it was the fuel control unit. Changed it and it's been 2 years and never stalled since.
