Look at the center of the rear axle. You should see a drain plug at the bottom, and most likely another plug about (roughly) 2/3's of the way up from the bottom Usually called the "check plug". You fill the rear with the proper oil until it starts coming out the "check plug". Sometimes there is a third plug at the top to use when filling, but sometimes you need to fill it from the check plug, depends on how the manufacturer set it up. You should know that I have never seen a Nuffield in person, but this method of checking fluid levels in axels is common.
