The straw tucker anchors straw or hay mulch into the soil replacing the
need for tacking or asphalt emulsion. The tucker disks force straw or hay
into the soil in rows which prevents it from blowing away and also aids
in the prevention of erosion. The rows of standing straw or hay assists
in the process of the soil moisture being carried into the soil and helps
with good seed germination. The straight notched blades with tapered leading
edges provide easy and effective soil penetration.
