Had same problem with new Kubota L2800 and Bush Hog finishing mower. Mower stopped turning after 15 minutes use. NO GEAR OIL IN MOWER GEARBOX FROM FACTORY. I called Kubota dealer who was supposed to have checked it. Thheir answer, "sorry" Luck for me it didn't do any damage or at least any that has shown up yet.

Hi just wondering would anyone be able to advise on the following problem. I cut the lawns with a kubota diesel mower 1600, its old but pretty good. When ticking over it is running smoothly but once the pto and cutting blades are engaged and cutting grass the power dies down and it seems like the machine is going to cut out, then it revs up to its normal running speed before dying down again. What does this sound like.

I do not know about that specific tractor but I would put money on the blades being held in one place and this caused a belt to burn through. check the belt and see if the blades move freely. Remember that this part of a tractor can be dangerous, you must be sure there is no way the blades can be powered while you are working on them.
